Back in Iowa for a few days, I wanted to give you a little update on that photograph/giant poster of Trump someone posted along Jordan Creek Parkway.
Obviously, someone defaced it in some manner around his mouth. It looks like perhaps someone might’ve tried to paint a little Hitler mustache above it, or maybe they just wrote some words there. In any case, someone then spray-painted over whatever the defacement was with a light gray paint, so now it looks as though Trump has no mouth but instead enjoys a fuzzy gray oval where his mouth once appeared. Alas, I couldn’t take a picture of it, or I haven’t had the chance so far. Traffic was moving at a good clip when I drove by and I haven’t been back over that way since.
When I got here Sunday, I tried to see if any of the Republican candidates were holding events in Des Moines that I might attend Sunday evening, but I couldn’t find any. I thought it might be kind of fun to go hear Ben Carson wax poetic about the pyramids, or Carly Fiorina talk about how successful she was at HP. Or maybe I could listen to Marco Rubio do his quasi intellectual rant about how no one understands things as clearly as he does.
Mostly, I guess I was just in the mood to listen to true bullshit. Instead I went and saw Quinten Tarantino’s latest blood-fest, “The Hateful Eight”, which was an awful lot of fun. Each and every one of the cast members gave memorable performances right up to the time of their inevitable screen deaths. (Spoiler alert… Everyone dies.) Samuel L. Jackson and Jennifer Jason Leigh were a blast to watch.
Oh well, this isn’t much of a post. And I’ve got to get my butt to work, but I had a few minutes. Happy New Year to one and all. -Even Fuzzy-Mouthed Donald.
